Packing for a one-week trip

Hello there!

As I am leaving for a one week trip for Vienna tomorrow, I thought I would share some of my tips for packing for a one-week trip.

1.       Clothes:

It obviously depends on your destination and the weather there for choosing clothes. Nevertheless, there are a few things I think everyone needs. For example, you will need some sorts of trousers/jeans/jeggings/shorts. I personally like to travel in jeggings just because they are so comfortable. For one week, make sure you pack at least 2 of these, and then while traveling you have one on, so that’s a total of 3 that you can use in a week. I personally don’t mind wearing the same jeans a few times in a row without washing them, but if you don’t like that, just go ahead and pack as many as you will need. Also, clothes that can be layered are a really good option. It often happens that while you are at your holiday destination the weather changes, so that way you will still be able to use your clothes and don’t have to go and buy a lot of new stuff (which has happened to me once…). Also make sure to bring one dress or something more festive that can be worn to formal occasion. And always squeeze in a pair of heels. Even though you won’t always need them, it’s good to know that you are prepared for whatever may come. Generally, it’s probably a good idea to take versatile clothing, that cen be dresses up or dressed down.

2.       Make-up:

Don’t go overboard with the make-up. I tend to do that, and then it just weighs down your luggage. Take some staples that you can rely on, but only essentials. You won’t be trying out that neon green eye shadow, when you are always so excited to get out of the door and see things that you have hardly any time to do your make-up. Also, if you are like me, you will definitely come back with more than you have taken with you J

3.       Hygiene products:

Skincare, shower gel, shampoo…. Yes, you will be needing all of that, but again, thin reasonably. Even if you are going on a chilled out relaxing holiday, you won’t use up all of your face masks. You won’t. Take some tried-and-tested products, the ones you know that work well.

4.       All of the other stuff…

Obviously you are also going to need your passport, some money, your phone, the charger for your phone, your camera, the charger for your camera…..

But that’s all stuff you can probably figure out yourself.

I hope this has helped you and that you found it interesting. What are your essentials you couldn’t travel without?

Love, Karen

xx
